Her initial inspiration, stemming from her childhood, was to have a voice through her art. She taught herself to depict with a natural perspective, to not only to look but to see and inject life into human drama and events using only graphite pencils.

Today, she paints primarily with oils and acrylics in a traditional manner, but with a contemporary twist. She creates figures with anonymity, driven by her desire to capture a gathering of people with a collective ambiance or emotional connectivity, which enables the viewer to engage.
